MIDAS
MIDAS Ireland (Microelectronics Industry Design Association) is an industry led partnership consisting of microelectronics companies, educational / research institutions and government agencies working together to address common challenges and assist the development of the microelectronics sector in Ireland. Total employment is over 8,000 and the sector contributes around €12 Billion annually to Irish exports. 25%, or 2,000, of these jobs are in high value added knowledge intensive Research and Development positions. There are over 60 companies in the sector, which include most of the world’s leading microelectronics multi-nationals, as well as a growing number of indigenous Irish start-ups.
