Silicon Europe Alliance wins new member during the Cluster Forum held in Gardanne
Last week, the members of Europe’s biggest high-tech meta cluster met in Gardanne for their bi-yearly Silicon Europe Alliance Cluster Forum.
This year’s host was SCS Cluster located in Gardanne, France. The cluster focuses on Secure Communicating Solutions covering the entire ICT value chain, from silicon to end uses. During the two-day visit, the Alliance got to know initiatives and members of SCS such as ARCSIS, an Association for the Research on the Made safe Components and Integrated smart systems, the two CIM PACA platforms Micro-PackS and characterization as well as their member Orsay Physics, the world leader in customized focused ion and electron beam technology.
Other highlights include the visit of the STMicroelectronics fab in Rousset and the announcement of Silicon Europe’s newest member Mesap, an Italian innovation cluster for Smart Products and Manufacturing. Mesap brings around 250 member companies in the Alliance as well as special knowledge in the field of mechatronics and systems for advanced production.
